 Youth Services Award      (rev February 2016)

 

Purpose

o       To recognize and reward outstanding and active participation in club activities by a Junior member of the Kamloops and District Fish and Game Association

 

Number of Awards

o       One award will be given out each year if a suitable applicant applies

 

Eligibility

o       Applicant must be intending to proceed with educational training beyond Grade 12.

o       Winner will be announced at the annual club banquet.

o       The applicant will receive the monetary award upon showing successful registration from an institute of continuing education.

o       Successful applicants may only receive the award one time.

o       Winning candidate may defer accepting the award  for up to one year past the normal registration date for the institute of choice

 

Amount of Award

o       The award is for a one time amount of $500.

 

Application

o       Candidate must submit a letter to the KDFGA explaining why they think their activities within the club make them the outstanding candidate

o       Letter should contain:

o       Number of years as a paid up junior member or family member

o       A list of activities in which the junior member has participated

o       Planned direction of further education

o       Any letters of recommendation from adult club members

 

Note

o       Actual high school grade standing will not be considered, only a letter of registration to an institute for further education

o       Application must be submitted to an executive member of the club at least two months prior to the annual banquet.
